Treatment at Daytop New Jersey, Inc. is behaviorally-based and individualized to meet the needs of adolescents and adults with substance use and co-occurring problems. It is based on the premise of self-help in an atmosphere of positive peer interaction, within the context of a “family” structure, and includes a full educational element. Twelve Step Program concepts are incorporated, with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings held on site. Accountability, honesty, and integrity are strongly emphasized within the context of a familial structure. At the same time, conflict resolution, anger management and other emotional concerns are addressed. Family participation in the treatment process is essential and integral to recovery of both adolescents and adults.
Interstate is proud to be involved with such an incredible organization and will continue to support their efforts to help young people in NJ tackle their addictions.
