We prioritize a safe work environment and client-focused, quality service. We are currently looking for detail-oriented drywall estimators to join our growing team.Job Summary
Estimators will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, material, labor as well as strong analytical and communication skills.Key Responsibilities
- • Prepare detailed estimates for drywall projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and other related documents to understand the scope of work and identify project requirements.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Perform site walks to gather information for accurate estimates, including understanding site conditions and potential challenges.
- Stay informed on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure estimates reflect current market conditions.
- Prepare bid proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Utilize and maintain estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial drywall or construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Proficient in estimating software (OST/QuickBid/Buzz Bid or similar)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate project challenges and develop solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of drywall systems, materials, and construction methodologies.
